DEREK LAM




Redesign of e-commerce site for luxury fashion house, Derek Lam and its sister brand, Derek Lam 10 Crosby. As Derek Lam himself was a student of American design, the goal for the site redesign was one that communicated his key influences and approach to American sportswear. In addition to drawing inspiration from the clothing itself as well as Derek’s take on the modern woman, inspiration was drawn from Derek’s favorite art director and designer, Alexey Brodovitch. The result was a clean, pared back site experience, maintaining the fashion house’s version of boldness: large moments of color, moments of open spaces, big type, and overall ethos of designing down to the essentials.

GIRLBOSS




Redesign of media publication site, Sophia Amoruso’s Girlboss, a leading platform for millenial women. In the visual branding of the site, six unique yet complementary pulishing verticals utilized bold colors and system fonts. Additional work included a robust email campaign system, custom advertising system, and event page design for the annual Girlboss Rally.

LIVELY



Brand identity and e-commerce website design for LIVELY, a lingerie brand inspired by and for smart, active women, which launched in early 2016. In creating the brand identity, designed the wordmark and symbol, which was implemented on collateral such as the hangtag and garment labels as well as establishing photography art direction and the brand’s voice and tone.

MINDBODYGREEN


Rebrand and website redesign for mindbodygreen, a leading wellness media company. As the site content is devoted to an individual’s mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, and environmental well-being, the tone of the new identity is welcoming, approachable, and bright through the use of a robust and meaningful color system. Inspired by the gradient of a sunrise, the color palette for the content categories is comprised of soft and bright hues in the visual spectrum. The media aspects and sub-brand colors are inspired by natural elements such as land and sky. In addition to a color associated with each content category, each subcategory has its own set of icons. The color of the icons matches the main category.
